The twelve signs
A long piece on each: strengths and frictions, at equal length.
Aries is traditionally associated with moving first and correcting afterwards.
Taurus is traditionally associated with building slowly toward something that can be kept, and with resisting being hurried.
Gemini is traditionally associated with taking in more information than can be acted on and sorting it out loud.
Cancer is traditionally associated with reading the emotional temperature of a room first and organising around protection.
Leo is traditionally associated with putting a personal signature on whatever it touches and wanting that authorship to be visible.
Virgo is traditionally associated with working by improvement: finding the gap between what a thing is and what it could be, and closing it.
Libra is traditionally associated with thinking in relationships: judging a choice by what it does to the balance between people.
Scorpio is traditionally associated with going to the part of a situation nobody says out loud, and staying there.
Sagittarius is traditionally associated with enlarging the frame: the wider context, the further place, the more general principle.
Capricorn is traditionally associated with measuring effort against results over long periods and organising life around what will still be standing later.
Aquarius is traditionally associated with stepping back from a situation until the system is visible, and then arguing with the system.
Pisces is traditionally associated with taking in more of other people's states than can be filtered, and losing the line between self and whatever is being attended to.
The dates are approximate. The moment the Sun changes sign shifts by up to a day and a half from year to year; if you were born near a boundary, calculate your chart.
